Introduction

Tax law websites aren’t known for their charm. That’s where we came in. KUBE Studio reached out with a UX design request for their client Meyer Gwinner, a law firm specializing in tax, legal, and corporate advisory services. The old website? Overloaded and hard to navigate. The new one? That’s our department.

With our UX design for Meyer Gwinner, we created a clear, modern layout that speaks trust without overwhelming the visitor. Desktop and mobile. No clutter. No fluff. Just confident design that supports complex content.

Let’s walk you through how we did it — and why it works.

The challenge

Tax law is a serious business, but the digital presence of most firms is, well… seriously outdated. Meyer Gwinner needed a website that felt professional and authoritative — but not cold or corporate. Their target clients are business owners and professionals looking for clear answers, not legalese behind a paywall.

The content itself was already complex. The biggest UX challenge? Making it feel simple.

KUBE Studio asked us to take care of the UX design. Not just to make things pretty, but to:

  • Bring clarity to their page structure
  • Make key services and contact routes visible fast
  • Build confidence on every scroll
  • Stay within strict brand constraints
Our approach

Before we opened any design tools, we ran through the site’s content structure with KUBE. Then we planned how we’d balance text-heavy legal content with visual breathing space — and make sure mobile users wouldn’t get lost.

What we focused on:

1. A straightforward homepage

  • Clear intro copy, short and sharp
  • Modular layout blocks for services, team, and contact
  • Avoiding stock clichés — instead, clean layouts and real structure

2. Mobile-first wireframes

  • Designed in Adobe XD with both 1920px and 375px views
  • Hierarchy and navigation carefully prioritized
  • Design patterns the KUBE team could scale across subpages

3. Brand integrity without rigidity

  • We worked within Meyer Gwinner’s visual identity
  • Subtle adjustments to color, space, and layout to support usability
  • Custom structure, not cookie-cutter UI kits
The solution

We designed three key pages:

  1. Homepage
The anchor for all other content. Designed to give users immediate orientation, quick service links, and contact touchpoints.
  2. Leistungen (Services)
Sectioned layout for legal areas. Not just a wall of text — but a page that lets people find what they need fast, with optional deep-dives.
  3. Über uns (About us)
No fluff bios. Just straight talk about who they are, how they work, and what clients can expect.

All of these were delivered to KUBE Studio in layered Adobe XD files, ready for handoff to their dev team. Responsive and scalable from day one.

Tech stack
  • Design: Adobe XD
  • Development: Handled by KUBE Studio
  • Scope: UX design only (desktop + mobile)
  • Pages: Homepage, Services, About
Final results

Meyer Gwinner now has a website that:

  • Makes complex services feel approachable
  • Communicates legal credibility with design confidence
  • Gives users a friction-free way to navigate deep content
  • Matches the tone of their clients: calm, clear, capable

No visual clutter. No legal jargon overload. Just the right structure for a law firm that knows what it’s doing.
