Introduction

VIA Sports Experiences had the network, the ambition, and a solid pitch: premium youth soccer trips to Spain. What they didn’t have? A website that matched the quality of their offer. No structure, no story, no setup that made it easy for clubs, parents, or players to say “let’s go.”

They came to us with a clear mission: build a custom WordPress website for sports travel that looks sharp, loads fast, and makes it dead simple to learn, trust, and book.

We built it. From scratch. On time. And with enough flexibility to grow into basketball, tennis, or whatever sport they tackle next.

Need your own site that sells the experience before it even starts? Let’s talk — no pressure.

The challenge

The idea was solid: combine elite sports facilities in Spain with the growing demand for international youth soccer trips. But the existing digital setup? Not so much.

VIA had:

  • A Canva-based content dump
  • A registration tool on a third-party platform
  • No proper structure or user journey
  • Zero SEO traction
  • And no CMS to manage updates in-house

They didn’t need a flashy site. They needed clarity, scalability, and a way to turn curiosity into bookings. The site had to communicate the program’s value instantly, appeal to U.S. clubs and parents, and link out smoothly to the external booking platform. Mobile-first, SEO-proof, and dead simple.

That’s what we built.

The approach

We kicked things off with a few straight-talking calls. VIA made it clear: “We’re not selling beach vacations — this is about high-level youth development.” Got it.

So we focused on:

  • Structure: built around the user journey (Who we are → What we offer → Register now)
  • SEO-ready landing/blog templates to target terms like “soccer training camps Spain”
  • Reusable WordPress components so their team can update and duplicate trip pages without calling us every week

The design? Minimal, bold, and professional. We leaned into the brand colors and gave each section breathing space. Think clean headlines, clear CTAs, and enough visual punch to signal credibility — even if the visitor has 10 tabs open.

We also kept content modular. If they add tennis or basketball later, the framework’s ready.

The tech stack

We delivered a custom WordPress build with:

  • Responsive front-end using HTML5, CSS3, and JS
  • Modular block system (built on ACF and our own custom fields setup)
  • Optimized image handling for mobile performance
  • A clear SEO foundation (meta, schema, clean code)

Hosting? On our server. Weekly updates and maintenance? Also on us.

The roadmap
  1. Discovery & scope
Gathered brand input, reviewed initial copy, clarified goals, and mapped out sitemap.
  2. Wireframes & UX design
Defined page structures, layouts, and flow — reviewed and approved with the client.
  3. Visual design
Created a full responsive prototype in Adobe XD, keeping copy editable for future growth.
  4. Custom WordPress development
Pixel-perfect implementation with focus on speed, clean admin, and flexible content management.
  5. QA, live prep & checklist
Ran our full pre-launch checklist, cross-browser testing, and speed tests.
  6. Launch & support
Live deployment + ongoing weekly maintenance and server management.
The final results

The new VIA Sports Experiences website launched in under 2 months and hit the exact tone the client needed — clear, professional, and conversion-focused.

Here’s what they walked away with:

  • A high-performing WordPress website with no fluff
  • Custom modules for program listings, pricing breakdowns, and blog posts
  • Future-proof SEO setup with blog templates and link structure
  • Integration with external registration platform
  • CMS that lets the client duplicate and edit pages in a few clicks
  • Fully responsive site with strong mobile performance

And that WhatsApp button? Simple but effective. A surprising number of inquiries are already rolling in that way.

What’s next?

We’re on call for new trip pages, blog content structure, and possibly future integrations.

But more importantly: we gave them a foundation that works. The site supports their growth, tells their story, and makes people want to book.
